Let me tell you guys, I was never a fan of Hafeez, I didn't like him because he didn't have a proper technique he wouldn't score any runs and the ones he would score were too slow and I saw him more a bowler because his bowling average was better than his batting average, although he was brought into the team as a batsman.
However I have to say I am really impressed with his performances ever since his return. Yes, he still does score runs at a slow pace sometimes but definitely he's got more confidence now and has the ability to occupy the crease. Since his return he averages about 40, he has scored 2 fifties as well. He is also a good spin option for Pakistan because he has provided his team with breakthroughs at crucial times.
Hafeez is getting better and better day by day in all departments of the game and this will be a worry for someone like Shoaib Malik who is looking to return to the international fold however given Hafeez's recent form, Shoaib's return looks a little unlikely to me. Keep in mind that Shoaib's poor form in the past year or so resulted in his expulsion from the Pakistan squad.
Nevertheless I am happy to see improved and positive Hafeez and I hope he continues his positive approach.
